Formed in 1997, Baker Street is an independent group of companies that specialise in raising finance for emerging and expanding businesses, as well as the subsequent management and administration of the businesses through to the exit point for investors. From it’s core area of film and TV, Baker Street has recently expanded to focus on businesses to include games, publishing, live events sectors and other niche opportunities where there is some unique selling point regarding the business, the investment or the likely returns. Using our extensive knowledge and expertise, we are able to strategise and implement a number of different finance structures depending on the requirements of each business, the risk/reward analysis and the likely returns. We look to structure finance where there is a known demand from potential investors, either based on the industry sector or on the risk/reward appetite of investors. Baker Street aims to deliver a first class service to investors and their advisers and to create profits on exit from the opportunities presented. We have a long track record of “after sales service” and seek to build long term relationships with investors and their professional advisers. When looking to invest in projects we seek those that have a strong management incentive to create a successful business, where there is something special about the underlying business proposition and where the basic proposal is simple to understand with a clearly defined exit route for investors. We strongly believe that it is the “after sales service” and subsequent project management that is equally important to investors and their professional advisers as well as the initial stages of raising finance. In addition to our project financing and consulting, we offer other finance services such as back office administration or advice on investment packaging whether or not Baker Street is subsequently involved in the fund raising process. |
