Managing Director Keith is the Managing Director of the Baker Street companies and is primarily responsible for the development of new business opportunities as well as overseeing the administration of the existing businesses and film funds. Keith qualified as a Chartered Accountant and set up his own practice as Keith Evans & Co (now Dales Evans & Co Ltd) in the late 70’s specialising in the music industry. During that time he specialised in dealing with musicians, concert promoters, and music publishing and record companies. Artists at that time included Paul Young, Dire Straits, Tears for Fears, Elkie Brooks and Teardrop Explodes. Although Keith has now retired from the firm to work specifically on film and TV, the firm continues and currently looks after the affairs of a growing number of artists including Kasabian, Keene, Coldplay, Josh Stone, Lilly Cole and Mumford & Sons. Between 1984 and 1994 Keith pioneered the development of Enterprise Zone Property Trusts – “Property Enterprise Trusts”, a means by which private investors could participate in Enterprise Zone property developments, and raising a total of over £306m developing some 1.5m sq.ft. of new property and involving nearly 9,000 investors over that period. In the mid 90’s Keith started to concentrate on the film and TV industries, and was one of the founders of Baker Street Media, the established film finance specialists. Baker Street has co-produced over 30 feature films and a number of TV series and documentaries since 1998 with total budgets in excess of $200m. His film credits include ‘Ladies in Lavender’, ‘Saving Grace’, ‘My Summer of Love’, ’Bloody Sunday’, ‘I Capture the castle’, ‘Valiant’, ‘On A Clear Day’, Anita and Me’, ‘The Heart of Me’ and ‘My Kingdom’ |
